I saw several FB posts from my girlfriend who had amazing success through the Farrell's program. Thats when I decided to join. I never went to check it out first, I just joined and started my 10 week program. I started really loving it and seeing results quickly. I became a Strength Training Instructor and a Kickboxing Instructor not long thereafter. It's been so much fun seeing great progress and results from other members and watching their attitudes and confidence go up!

As an elementary school teacher, I've always been very good at guiding a room of people towards a common goal. However, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I'd become a fitness instructor! Thanks to a fabulous leadership team, I was trained to help people realize their potential, and push them towards their personal fitness goals. By pushing others, I find I also push myself! Together, we can reach our goals and take control of our fitness journeys!

I always enjoyed the gym but never felt like it was a community in any way. I’d start out 4-5 days a week and fall off just as fast as I’d started. My wife who joined Farrell's told me they were having a 10 week party to celebrate everyone who had finished..I tagged along not knowing it would change my life. I’m going to be 52 this year and can out do a lot of younger people. So if you are reading this and wondering if this is for you…come try it out..It may just change your life.

I decided to try out Farrell’s after working with several Farrell’s franchise locations through my current position as the director at a national fitness equipment brand. After trying out the routine, I found that it provided the appropriate balance of cardio and strength training and was something I could do long term. I decided to become a trainer to better share my enthusiasm for fitness and I look forward to helping each member translate a healthy routine into successes that extend well beyond the gym.

I know the FXB community is one of the best out there as not only were instructors and full-time members pushing me to be my best, but fellow 10-week challengers as well. And with the help and support of many people that I am lucky enough to call friends, I can confidently say I am now in the best shape I have ever been. My 10 weeks were hard! I hadn't worked out in over 10 years and had to nap after almost every class for the first 4 weeks! My best friend helped keep me accountable and our motto was "just show up!" I became an instructor in August 2019 with the goal of helping as many members as I could. I know how difficult this journey can be. I help members focus to "just show up" because that is half the battle. I love seeing members progress over time and the success they have in reaching their own goals.

I decided to do the 10 Week challenge and I have never found anything so fulfilling when it comes to fitness and I never thought I would commit to a program for this long let alone become an instructor, but here I am still going strong and sharing my love for fitness with others!
