My journey with Farrell’s started in the fall of 2016 in Des Moines Iowa. Most of my life I have been active, involved in sports, and have worked out. But after I had my second child I found that my consistency and motivation ebbed and flowed. I would try something for a little bit, then stop due to boredom... laziness... or allowing other things in my life to take over. I have always loved kickboxing...think “Tae Bo” from the late 90’s..., and as soon as I heard that Farrell’s was a kickboxing/strength training program I had to try it! When I started my 10 week challenge in October of 2016... I was in the worst shape of my life, we had recently moved to Iowa from Michigan, I had new job, we had two young kids...and a puppy, and overall I just felt defeated in my health and fitness journey. I felt uncomfortable in my own skin, I had aches and pains, and I was exhausted all of the time. After my first kickboxing workout I was hooked! I loved and still love the workouts. They are consistently great and challenging at every level. I love the community and accountability that this program brings, and I love the supportive staff who give of their time to help encourage others on their fitness journeys. I also love that there are members at every fitness level and age. However, the main thing I took away from my 10 weeks and still hold onto is that I can still do hard things! My body can do hard things, and I can still get into the best shape of my life! The program helped me so much physically and mentally, and I am so grateful!
Since 2018 I have been a member here in Eden Prairie, and have continued on my health journey. There have been times of victory and defeat, but I am committed to progress and showing up and doing my best to be my best. I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to be a fitness instructor here at Farrells. I have such passion for kickboxing/strength training & helping others to step outside of their comfort zones and recognize what they are capable of! I am inspired by our Farrell’s community & I love how this program reshapes lives. We can still do hard things! See you on the mats!
